A Small Deli with Big Tastes: La Bodega

Tucked away between other business on High street in Oxford, Ohio is the locally owned restaurant La Bodega. They are a deli counter serving hot and cold sandwiches, a soup of the day, various salads and pasta salads, quiches, and a rotating selection of desserts that include baklava, cheesecake and various cookies.

I managed to live for years in town without knowing this place existed. It took a few friends taking me to learn about this gem of a place. They only have five tables inside and when it’s busy you will wait for a while but it has always been worth it. I have yet to find something I didn’t love. I frequent the Chia shown above, but I also have loved the Lobster Bisque, the Falafal and I have a friend that swears by the Chipotle Mac and Cheese. With many different options and combinations as well as create your own options, there’s bound to be something that will quickly become your favorite here.
