A More Natural Chain: First Watch

A More Natural Chain: First Watch

I had never heard of First Watch until I moved to the South Dayton area. I have always loved this place from the first time I tried that eggs benedict and green power juice. They have that local farm fresh taste that I have grown to love when a friend opened my eyes to eating differently. You can see the cans of things they do bring in as well though that open kitchen in the back of the dining area, but that doesn’t stop the fresh and amazing tastes.

I found out later that First Watch is actually a chain and they have them in various places. Which honestly is that much more impressive to me that they keep such a fresh taste that way. As a brunch place, they close early so you gotta check the hours if you find one to go to. The decor straight from the part of Tumblr I love to follow but never post in, gorgeous modern decor with a rustic feel. It really fuels the wanderlust I already have.

They serve breakfast and lunch during all their hours so you get the choice of either or to say fuck it and get a bit of everything. I have so far only eaten breakfast the few times I’ve gone but it’s never disappointed. I highly recommend the skillet dishes as they are perfection with a bit of everything mixed together. I have had the potatoes with runny eggs, cheese and bacon. They also serve the healthy alternatives and gluten free things. These range from egg white dishes to yogurt bowls and fruit dishes. There’s a little something for everyone.
