Baked Parmesan Asparagus

Baked Parmesan Asparagus

Prep: 5 minutes Bake 15-20

My brother and sister in law have been making our family a version of this for a few years now and it just has changed my entire opinion on green vegetables. I love it so much. I decided to take a whack at it and instead of asking them how they did it, I just tried something and it worked! Helps when it’s only three ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Stalks of asparagus (as many as you want, I only did around 10 for a single serving)

  • ~ 2 tbls Olive Oil, (at least but more if you have a lot of asparagus)

  • 2 tbls - 1/4 cup grated or shredded parmesan cheese (more depending on the amount again)

  • Minced garlic to taste

Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F (220 C)

  2. Prep your asparagus by snapping off any bad ends or tops

  3. Take a baking tray and line with foil

  4. Spread out the asparagus on it, so that they are flat. It’s ok to be touching

  5. Drizzle the oil over the stalks

  6. Drizzles the minced garlic over the stalks

  7. Bake for about 10 minutes (keep an eye to not burn and keep tender)

  8. Pull out and add the cheese over the top

  9. Bake for 1-2 minutes, until the cheese is turning golden, but not burned

Afterwards

This was super easy and delicious. I had it for my dinner that night. There are many variations with different seasonings, but simple is best for me with this. You can really get creative, but this side dish takes so little effort and sets you up for most meals in no time.
